Showcase

for professional Swiss children’s and youth theater groups and individuals within the framework of «jungspund – Theater Festival for young Audience St.Gallen».

Within the framework of «jungspund – Theater Festival for young Audience St.Gallen» we offer 10 Swiss groups and individual artists the opportunity to present their current productions to the organizers and artists for a maximum of ten minutes. The event is moderated by the festival and presents the performing groups and artists, who will have an opportunity to give a short portrait of their production and working methods.

Afterwards, an informal exchange with the organizers will take place over lunch.

Date and place
Saturday, 09.03.2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Lokremise St.Gallen

Applications
Applications are open to theater professionals from all over Switzerland working in the field of performing arts for a young audience. Groups and individual artists who are part of the festival program are excluded from participation. If possible, the productions should have been created during the 2022/23 season or from Autumn 2023 onwards. Projects that are still in their rehearsal phase can be presented as a short “try-outs”.

Applications should be accompanied by a short file in PDF format, with a maximum of two A4 pages. It should include the following information:

-> A short description of the project
-> The names of all the participants
-> Information on the type of presentation (short excerpt, scenic sketch, try-out, etc.)
-> Representative pictures (if available)
-> Trailer (if available)

The presentations should not require a lot of stage work and should be in written language only (i.e., not in dialect). The following items will be at your disposal: a projector, a screen, tables and chairs and basic lighting. Further props and technical aids must be brought by the participants themselves.

Both groups and individual artists will have the opportunity to hang up promotional material.

Participation
The groups and individual artists will be contacted by the festival organizers by 10.11.2023 whether participation is possible or not.

Coverage of Expenses
Each group will receive a fee of CHF 1’000.00, and each individual artist will receive CHF 500.00
